Welcome to this heartfelt journey through the pages of CJMA Higher Secondary School Varandarappilly, which entered its glorious twenty -fifth year in 2025. Standing tall in the heart of Varandarappilly Grama Panchayat, blessed by divine grace and enriched by a proud legacy of Assumption church, our Higher Secondary School has now stepped into its Silver Jubilee year with honor and gratitude. On June 19, 1916, our forefathers established a humble parish school adjoining the church named after the Holy Assumption Mother. That institution later evolved into the present Lower Primary School. The Upper Primary section was started in 1938, followed by the High School section in 1945. Recognizing the vital role of higher education in shaping society and empowering future generations, our predecessors worked tirelessly, and as a result, the school was elevated to Higher Secondary status in the year 2000. The first batch of the Higher Secondary section commenced on August 11, 2000, with nearly 150 students offering Science, Commerce, and Humanities stream combinations. In the Higher Secondary Examination of 2005, the school achieved a remarkable 100% pass result and earned state - level recognition and appreciation. Since then, the Higher Secondary section has journeyed forward with excellence, opening doors of knowledge, wisdom, and goodness to countless students, while achieving distinction not only in academics but also in arts, sports, and extra curricular fields. In 2011, a Computer Science batch was additionally sanctioned to the school, further expanding the academic opportunities available to students. All the teaching and non-teaching staff who served the Higher Secondary section during different phases of its growth dedicated their energy, talent, and commitment wholeheartedly for the development of this institution. At present, the Higher Secondary section alone has around 450 students, 25 teachers, and 2 non-teaching staff members. Over the years, this temple of learning has successfully empowered thousands of students to serve society in various walks of life. Dedicated teachers, talented students, creative and value-based teaching-learning processes, wholehearted support from the management, improved infrastructural facilities, and a strong Parent-Teacher Association standing united under one roof have all played a significant role in the remarkable journey of our Higher Secondary School towards greater heights. Students from Varandarappilly Grama Panchayat as well as neighboring Panchayats such as Alagappanagar, Mattathur, Puthukkad, Trikkur, and Nenmanikkara, along with students from districts beyond Thrissur, pursue their studies in this institution. Passing through many milestones in the continuous flow of history, Chemmannur Joseph Memorial Assumption Higher Secondary School Varandarappilly has grown into a mighty banyan tree of knowledge, enlightening students from different castes, creeds, and communities, becoming the pride of the land and a beacon of goodness for society. May this Higher Secondary School continue to spread the light of knowledge, goodness, and love, and may it forever uphold and illuminate the glorious name and history of Varandarappilly village. .
