Matha HS Mannampetta, The History Matha HS Mannampetta is a Major School located in the heart of Alagappanagar Panchayat in the north -eastern part of Mukundapuram Thaluk, near Amballur in Thrissur district.In a meeting held in Church on 6th March,1933 a decision was taken to begin an educational era in Mannampetta. According to the decision of the meeting an Aasan was appointed to conduct the land surveying studies of the young children along with the Vedic studies.The School was started in 1934 with the co -operation of locals under the name" Jnanavardhini Samajam" and grew into a recognised LP School in 1935 and in1963 to a Upper Primary School.The first` Headmaster was Shri Krishnankutty Menon.Due to the sincere efforts of Rev.Fr.John Cheruvathur the School became High School in 1983.Shri.T.J .JosMaster was the first Headmaster of High School Mannampetta.The school won 100% result in the first SSLC examination.The School was named `Matha High School` emphasising the great presence of the Holy Mother and the noble Maternal love.
