HSS - ST ANTONY`S HSS PUTHUKKAD

St. Antony`s Higher Secondary School, Pudukad is a prominent institution under the Corporate Educational Agency of the Archdiocese of Thrissur, located near St. Antony`s Forane Church, Pudukad. The school was upgraded to Higher Secondary status and began functioning on 26-06-1998. The first Manager was V. Rev. Fr. Paul Allappat and the first Principal was Sri C. T. Simon, who served for 8 years. The school has seen dedicated leadership over the years. From 2001-02, V. Rev. Fr. Antony Mechery took charge as Manager. He was succeeded by V. Rev. Fr. Lawrence Olekkengal in 2004-05, V. Rev. Fr. Jose Thekekara in 2007-08, V. Rev. Fr. Ittichan Kurissery in 2008-09, and V. Rev. Fr. Jose Valloran in 2010-11. In 2017-18, V. Rev. Fr. Paulson Palathingal became Manager with Dr. Joy K. A. as Principal. V. Rev. Fr. Johnson Challissery served as Manager in 2020-21, followed by V. Rev. Fr. Paul Thekannath with Principal Dr. Gilse A. Pallan from 2022-23. Currently, for 2025-26, V. Rev. Fr. Davis Cherayath is Manager and Mr. Toby Thomas is Principal. Smt. Ancy Joseph P. also served as Principal from 2007-08 for 9 years. St. Antony`s HSS has pioneered modernization in education. In 2009 it installed a solar power system and became the first hi-tech school in the private sector. The institution marked its Silver Jubilee in 2023, reaffirming its commitment to academic excellence and extracurricular development. It is the largest Higher Secondary School in Thrissur district and ranks 3rd in Kerala by admissions. The school runs 10 batches each in Plus One and Plus Two, totaling around 1200 students in a co-educational system. The batch distribution includes 3 Biology Science, 2 Computer Science, 3 Commerce with Mathematics, 1 Humanities General, and 1 Humanities with Computer Application. Student life is enriched through active clubs such as NCC, Career Guidance, Souhridha Club, Eco Club, and Entrepreneurship Club. With consistent leadership, modern facilities, strong academics, and diverse activities, St. Antony`s HSS Pudukad continues to uphold its reputation as a leading educational institution in Kerala.
