LP - ST. ANTONY`S LPS ATTUPURAM

St. Antony`s L.P. School is situated in Ward No. 3 of Vadakkekad Panchayat, Chavakkad Taluk, Thrissur District. Students from Vadakkekad, Punnayur, Punnayurkulam, and nearby areas of Malappuram District study in this school. This school is named after St. Antony, the heavenly mediator. According to local accounts, the school initially functioned in a small thatched shed attached to the church. In 1890, classes began in a simple palm-leaf-roofed structure. When the school was shifted to its present location in 1930, it was believed to have already completed 40 years of service. Although clear historical records are not available, the school is generally considered to have been established in 1890.
