HSS - ST. THOMAS HSS ENGANDIYUR (HSS)

St. Thomas School, Engandiyur, functioning under the Corporate Educational Agency, Archdiocese of Thrissur, was upgraded to a Higher Secondary School in 2006. In 2005, Rev. Fr. Jaison Thekkumpuram, Vicar and Manager, together with the School Development Committee, the parishioners, and the Corporate Educational Agency, secured Plus Two status for St. Thomas High School through their collective efforts. The new academic block was blessed and inaugurated on 16 January 2010 by Mar Andrews Thazhath, Archbishop, Archdiocese of Thrissur. On the same occasion, the Plus Two Computer Laboratory, established with the generous support of the PTA, was also blessed and dedicated to the service of the student community. Smt. Jospheena T.V was appointed as the first Principal of the institution. During her tenure from 2006 to 2014, the school achieved remarkable success in the Higher Secondary examinations under her able leadership. St. Thomas HSS Engandiyur secured the overall first position among all Higher Secondary Schools under the Thrissur Corporate Educational Agency during the academic year 2008-2009, marking a significant milestone in the institution`s journey toward excellence. In the Higher Secondary Examination of 2010, the Commerce stream of St. Thomas HSS Engandiyur secured the overall second position among the schools under the Corporate Educational Agency. In the same year, the school also achieved first place at the Sub-District Level Mathematics Exhibition, adding another feather to its cap. Anto Ollukkaran, and our current manager, Rev. Fr. Saju Vadakethala, for their exemplary leadership and dedicated service. Following the distinguished tenure of Smt. Jospheena T.V, the institution continued its journey of excellence under successive principals. Smt. Rossamma C.I served the school with dedication from 2014 to 2016. Sri Jomy Francis provided dynamic leadership from 2016 to 2021, contributing significantly to the institution`s growth and development. Smt. Princy A. J. guided the school with commitment and vision from 2021 to 2025. Smt. Bessy C. C. served as Principal from 2025 to 2026, upholding the values and traditions of the institution with dedication and sincerity. Since 2026, Smt. Geo P. Rosanto has been leading the institution, carrying forward its legacy of academic excellence and holistic development. At present, St. Thomas HSS Engandiyur offers the following higher secondary combinations: Biology Science, Commerce with Computer Application, and Commerce with Mathematics. The NSS Club, Souhrida Club, and Career Guidance Club are actively functioning in the school, providing students with opportunities for personal growth, social responsibility, and community engagement. Under the leadership of its managers, with the wholehearted cooperation of the PTA and the unwavering support of well-wishers, St. Thomas HSS Engandiyur continues to stand as a beacon of academic excellence, moral values, and holistic education.
